Camden Companions Animal Rescue (CCAR) was founded in 2011 with the mission to reduce the number of homeless companion animals in and near Camden County, New Jersey. We work toward this mission by:
We are a no-kill rescue; we do not euthanize animals unless medically necessary. We rely on donations from the public to bridge the gap between veterinary expenses and adoption fees. Donations to CCAR are tax-exempt under section 501(c)3 of the tax code. Since we are volunteer-only and foster-based, your donation isn't going to salaries, rent, or utility bills...it's going directly to the animals:
As you can see, we run a very lean organization without any expenses for salaries, rent, or utilities...over 98% of our spending is directly for the animals! This is only possible due to our amazing foster parents. Without foster homes, there would be no rescue. If you want to save a life, adopt. But if you want to save a lot of lives, foster! |
